Satin Pink

So I’m still not unpacked. In fact, everything is still in boxes but now in the basement. We had contractors come in to remove a wall, #openfloorplan and add a closet in one of the rooms, #laundryupstairs. Before the laundry was in the dark damp basement but to get to the basement you had to go out the back, down the porch, around to some storm doors, down a few more stairs to one more set of doors held with a wire hook. Also, there’s no dryer. Instead there’s a pulley clothes line across the backyard #countryliving. I’m feeling hashtags today #sorrynotsorry. I think I’m going crazy from the lack of structure in the home right now. Everything is now in the basement because we’re having our wood floors restored. Plus, I still need to paint all the rooms and I’m pretty sure there are still some flecks of paint in my hair in these photos that I couldn’t get out. Can’t complain though because the house is going to look beautiful by the time it’s done. I will share photos.

But enough about home improvement. This is currently a fashion blog so let’s talk about this look. The top was given to me in collaboration with Tobi. It’s supposed to be a dress but it’s a bit short so I threw on a longer skirt to cover the short hemline. I love the cold shoulder ruffle detail and can’t wait to style it again this fall with a pair of jeans.  Everything else in this look was thrifted. I found the shoes shortly before we left Denver and had to go digging through boxes to find them for this outfit. I can’t wait to be fully unpacked!
